Save Fairway started this petition to Minster of Planning NSW and

This petition is in support of the proposed 5 Lot Subdivision at  91, 93 and 95 Fairway Drive Kellyville NSW, next to the Bella Vista Public School (BVPS). We, the local community, understand that the applicant is now proposing to convert the 3 approved lots previously approved (2011) for 54 Units of Affordable Rental Housing / boarding house development at the above mentioned address to 5 standard residential lots. 2 lots facing Free Settlers Drive and 3 lots facing  Fairway Dr including a battleaxe lot. We, the local community, wish confirm that we have viewed the proposed plan and fully support the construction of 5 dwellings at the site as opposed to 3 large buildings.

In 2011, the land on the corner of Free Settlers Drive & Fairway Drive next to BVPS was approved for 54 units of 1 bed each for Affordable rental housing (3 buildings x 18 units each). Since then the surrounding community has developed into new households of young families. Dept of Planning approved a new school which commenced in 2019. The Local Community is pleading to have the land parcel to be rezoned for standard residential housing. Families can use the nearby parks (Balmoral Reserve) & the school facilities and most importantly avoid any potential danger to young children at school caused by future occupants of the rental housing. Affordable rental Housing is totally inconsistent & out of character with the neighbouring community, which has evolved over the last 10 years. A petition to stop the boarding house was started in 2019 and received overwhelming support.

Please support this petition and sub-division of 5 residential lots.
