Partial reimbursement from LSE due to online teaching and other restrictions (COVID-19)

To whom it may concern,

This petition seeks a partial reimbursement or waiver of tuition fees due to the limited learning opportunities available to students at LSE during the 2019/20 and possibly even 2020/21 academic year.

As of now, The London School of Economics will deliver all teaching activity for taught undergraduate and postgraduate students online from Monday 23 March or before where possible, for the remainder of the 2019/2020 academic year.

While we recognize that social distancing and the restriction of on-site classes are essential to avoid overburdening the NHS, core values of our degrees, such as interactions with professors, networking and the overall LSE experience, are severely limited. For this reason, and because of the lower attributable expenditure to the university due to the going-forward value of the online resources created, we propose a partial reimbursement or waiver of tuition fees from LSE to fairly address the aforementioned facts.

Thank you!
