In the past year in Minnesota alone, 4 KNOWN schools have started walkouts and sit-ins to stand up against racial profiling and bullying in their school halls. I graduated from Centennial High School in 2019 and started a walkout in May of 21 after a student received hateful anti-Asian texts. 

today, a video was leaked of a student from Prior Lake, yelling Nigger & other harmful racial stereotypes in a Snapchat video to send to another student. 

On the website of the Minnesota Board of Education, they have a page dedicated to the inclusion of equity within the state school. But how? How are you enforcing that? Why can’t we see it? We need immediate change. Schools in Minnesota should be made mandatory to partner up with Equity Alliance, to ensure safe and equitable schools for each student to be able to effectively learn about the harm racism and micro aggressions cause in anyone’s life.
