No police in Minneapolis, really?

No police in Minneapolis, really?
If you agree that the Minneapolis Police Department must be reformed with adequate funding, please sign this petition that will be given to the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor Frey.
In November, VOTE "NO” to change the "Public Safety" Amendment of the Minneapolis City Charter. Voting yes would allow the City Council to defund the police without any tangible plan to replace the police and without any community engagement on re-imagining public safety.
No peace-keeping group or social workers can put a stop to this pandemic of criminality. Can we afford to lose more children to stray bullets? Can we afford more car jackings that have gone up by 600% over the last year? Can we afford more homicides and violent crime that has risen exponentially in our city since the killing of George Floyd? We know the answers to the problems our city faces aren’t solved solely in policing, but, they are needed and have a significant role to play.
