Corrolation of safe driving and assessing vision with esterman vision machine originally to test for glucoma.
Since 2013 I was deemed to be unfit to drive as I failed the esterman vision test. I was born with head, neck, and facial disfigurement also with only my left eye There was a beneign tumour in my much smaller disfigured orbit. I learned to drive and passed my driving test in 1983. I have driven without any fault car accident. I had no adaptions fitted to the car.I had worked as a community staff nurse since 2005 up until my licence eas revoked in 2013. A further defect was discovered known as a optic disc pit. Which is a congenital non degenerative condition. DVLA revoked my licence just on the result of the esterman test. My driving history or ability was not considered. My disfigurement was not taken into consideration. I am exempt from the exeptional circumstance policy of the medical visual condition as I have monocular vision.
