For many years this corner has been a black spot, taking numerous lives . Many of the local community either has lost a loved one, or knows someone who succumbed to the perilous stretch of road .The number of accidents has increased and they couldn’t have come at a worse time. Is it not bad enough with a pandemic brewing, lives are being taken elsewhere? The local community have come together to say enough is enough. We empower change. Something more needs to be done to the current layout of the road , to remind drivers to slow down either side. Saving lives should be top priority in the halls of power.  Help us to fight this cause. The Traffic Council of Zimbabwe reported in 1996 that you had better chance of dying from HIV or a form of cardiovascular disease than from a traffic accident , rating accidents 9/10. The same statistics in 2020 now place traffic accident fatality rate on a scale of 3/10. (Source ,WHO 2001). The Gweru / Harare A5 needs to be made a safer place to drive. The average speed in the area surrounding the curve needs to be reduced. Please sign my petition and help this much needed change to happen. Enough is Enough! .
