We students of International Maritime Academy Chennai had taken admission for the stream of marine engineering course and the college is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.

The college had taken admission on the criteria of 45% PCM but after completing the course and further completing our sea time(onboard training) we are been denied from giving exams as the Directorate General of Shipping states their criteria 60% and above. 

But when we had taken the admission the college had the approval from the Directorate General of Shipping and even now they have the approval and they are fighting legal fight for the PCM criteria in court.

Due to this students have been denied giving further exams and their careers are at stake after completing the course. 

Even after mailing Directorate General of Shipping about this issue of students they are not providing any solution to us and we are stuck and we students need help our careers are at stake.
