Muralidhar Choudgundi started this petition to Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India and

why traffic rules education required in schools and colleges?

Its required to make special syllabus for traffic rules in our education system for all schools and collage To minimize jams, accidents and injuries, the rules are formulated. Everyday many people lose their lives and get injured due to road accidents. Examples of traffic rules are driving on the side of the road, traffic signals, limitation of speed etc. If traffic rules are not followed, this can harm other people.

It is notice that most people having driving license but they dont know the rules or didn't  following all traffic rules.

Road safety education would help students understand the importance of safety on the road when walking as a pedestrian or as one driving a vehicle. It's also important to take immediate action such as calling the authorities for medical or transport aid or both

Kerala is to make the first step to incorporate road safety as part of the curriculum from the pre-school to upper primary level to sensitise youngsters to the importance of responsible driving behaviour.

The pathbreaking initiative, by the Kerala Road Safety Authority (KRSA) and General Education Department, has come at a time when numerous lives are lost on the road. Of the fatalities, 40% are pedestrians and 70% of them are children.

“Strict enforcement measures and awareness programmes do not help to bring down the road accidents and fatalities. The aim is to develop a road safety culture among the children with good attitudes and skills, first as pedestrians and cyclists and then when they start driving,” says Road Safety Commissioner, KRSA, N. Shanker Reddy.

It is request to Education Minister and all concerns department that make proper syllabus for traffic rules and implement as soon as possible
