It is indeed pathetic that Indian Railways has ended the concessions on travel tickets for Senior Citizens. A concession on travel ticket is but a small token gesture of appreciation for the services rendered by Senior Citizens. A majority of the Senior Citizens have to subsist either on pensions or on money that they have saved during their years of active service. It would go a long way in giving them a semblance of comfort to continue with the travel concessions. I request the Ministry Of Railways to please look into the matter compassionately and to once again reinstate the concessions for Senior Citizens. Regards. - S M Chakrapani
