A new fraud in the city!
Dear friends, on Friday,7th July, I visited the Shivesh service station ,ie. the first service station after getting down from Savitri flyover, to get my car tank filled. After the transaction, the meter displayed an amount of Rs. 1918. In a matter of seconds, after I handed over my debit card, the person gave me back a slip reading an amount of Rs. 2,256 with the same amount displayed on screen and debited from my account. On my pestering him to answer that how did the change happen, he tried to subdue the hush by immediately returning me Rs. 300 and making me move because of the rush. Later on i realised that still the amount was short of Rs.38 so on Monday, 10th July, again I visited the place and the swindler made the second advent of returning Rs.38 to rest the case without argument. This act seems to be deliberate and intentional. Therefore, after hue and cry they quietly returned the money on both occasions. The knowledge about the occurrence of such events at the Indian Oil stations must be disseminated to counteract the corrupt practices.
