Water crisis in Rajasthan

Water crisis in Rajasthan
Why this petition matters
In India, the Right to water has been protected as a fundamental human right by the Indian Supreme Court as part of the Right to Life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Indian constitution. In the present scenario most parts of the western Rajasthan are facing the scarcity of water. The people are not getting the potable water for their subsistence. In case they are getting the water than they have to paid for water tankers.
and the prices are very high and there is not a single authority to decide the prices of tankers so water mafias are using water resources to earn income . One side we talk about making India world’s leader and on another side India’s govt is not fulfilling the fundamental right of Right to Water.
Government should take exemplary actions to provide potable water to the people of the regions which are affected by water scarcity.
