While this may sound ridiculous... The absolute over exaggeration of Scenarios in bengali soaps (and most other Indian soaps) is having a negative effect on the mentality of the audience. A study once said that Indian women enjoy these soaps because it appeals them to seer someone else suffer more and they empathize with it regardless of how outrageously different the character's life is to her own. 

Personally speaking familiar peace has been going down the drain. While I get the need to promote content that is empowering I have the humble request of keeping things realistic( unless it is fantasy or the similar genre, eg- lotr) there are unnecessary household conflicts and I believe they can be be avoided by simply censoring the content which is so influence the behaviorial pattern of middle aged women. Whether working or home maker. I do not say this as a promoter of patriarchy... I(and others like me I hope) just do not want unnecessary conflicts instigated by a well educated mother holding a managerial position in an MNC. Also please don't persecute me I am a feminist (as in the equality kind, not the nazi kind). I hope that last bit of humor helped
