For the longest time, migrant workers in the middle east, specifically, Bahrain have been treated in a heinous way. These workers endure long work hours between 8-12 hours a day without being paid adequately by their employers. Additonally, these workers live in tight and uncomfortable spaces along with several other migrant workers. The rights to health care and safe shealter being completely stripped away from them by cruel employers who don't value them and there hard work.

To add to the bad conditions they experience, they face discrimination, hate, and xenophobic acts. We see this as bahraini citizens on a daily basis as there are many uninformed and uneducated indiviuals in our community. Additonaly, many migrant workers have experinced hieghtened racism and xenophobia due to the pandemic. As many of these migrant workers are Asian and South Asian decent, hence, facing blatant racism for their ethnicity.

All in all, taking everything said into consideration, we must work as a community to bring change to this cause and ensure that migrant workers are treated equally and fairly. If you want to be an ally to the abused and oppresed migrant workers please educate yourselfs and take action by signing this petition!
