Demand Postponement of NEET Exams 2019 due to Cyclone Fani

As cycloe Fani is hammering hard over various parts of India, on 5th May more than 1.5 million students who are supposed to take the NEET exam, stand to lose their chance at their chosen career, through no fault of their own.
Many states have been affected and there are no transport facilities. So many students who have been preparing for NEET will be unable to give the exams in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. While the Odisha Govt. has acted on NSUI's persistent demands and postponed the exam, other states remain unmoved!
The damage caused by the cyclone and the safety risksmight force many students to skip the exam. So, the demand for the postponement of the NEET exams till the situation settles down is both reasonable and humane.
Students prepare for the NEET exams with lot of hopes and expectations, so the non-consideration of postponement of NEET exam dates will certainly be a loss of time as well as opportunityfor all those students who will not be able to appear due to this Natural Disaster.
The National Students' Union of India stands with all the students affected by Fani in these difficult times. Please sign our petition to postpone the NEET exam so that students across India have a shot at the same opportunities to build the career they want.
