We all know that the boss and employee relationship are important to company productivity. A relationship that is built on trust and understanding can make the employee and manager more efficient. A poor relationship that lacks cohesiveness will dampen productivity. There are several elements that make up a boss and employee relationship that need to be understood by both parties for the relationship to be effective. Both the boss and employee need to commit to the concept of teamwork if a group is going to work together effectively. If either side of the boss and employee relationship does not hold up their end of the teamwork requirements, then productivity suffers and teamwork cannot be established.
Today, in this blog I will try to make you all aware of a policy practiced by Ministery of Human Research and Development, which is not only discriminatory but also very inhuman in nature. It is regarding the biased policy of transfer by the Ministry of Human Research and Development in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
So what is this policy, According to this policy, They offer transfer only to those employees whose spouses are government servants whether it be state or central government. We all know that we sign up for posting at any place across India while doing a Government job, but we all have families to look after and it is a moral responsibility of the Government to help the employees to an extent that they don't feel family separation. And due to this policy our govt. is miserably failing in it. Moreover, our constitution gives Equality to every citizen, Each and every citizen is equal before Law, Government, etc. Then why only those employees having spouses serving for state or central government are given the opportunity for transfer to desired places. It is indeed a discriminatory policy for those employees who have worked hard for a position in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan but their spouses are not a part of the Government. Though they are not working for the govt. but they are equally contributing to the country. they may be an entrepreneur, software engineer in an MNC, or at a reputed position in a big private company. With this policy in hand, The ministry of Human Research and Development is highly underestimating their contribution to the country. As I mentioned above a successful organization always keeps in mind the interest of its employees. With this policy, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will become an organization where all employees are from a single stratum of society, which is very bad for any institution. Every institution needs to be diverse in all terms for efficient functioning in the long term.
For a Highly reputed organization like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, it is the need of the hour to change this policy, otherwise, it will result in a high employee turnover rate, which is not ideal for any organization.
I will like to recommend the institution to change its policy as soon as possible and provide equal opportunity to each and every employee working under it. Opportunity of transfer at their choice of the station should be given to all its employees instead of only those employees whose spouses are Govt. servant.
An organization is only successful if its employees are giving a hundred percent to it. Their hard work should be appreciated, they should be given proper rewards and incentives for the work they do. They build the future of the country and don’t expect much but they should at least be given a chance to be with their family. They are also entitled to equal opportunities just like an ordinary citizen in the eyes of Law. For a better workplace, better institution, better organization, It is a must-do thing that Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan changes its policy and gives all its employees what they want to make it a peaceful, happy and better workplace.
