Social health Care in Canada must support Demand of citizens

Addicts?- Canada has an egregious reputation for pain medicine abuse, however no one really understands why. One main reason is the wait times in most provinces for treatment. Pain medicine is then issued until the patient can be seen by the specialist which can be 6 months to over a year in some cases. Canadians are not allowed to use their health benefits outside the province. Then doctors end up underprescribing, hence addict like behavior is born. The patient's pain often worsens in time and these doctors are so affraid of repercussions from the College of Physicans and surgeons, they don't even provide adequate relief for these patients, which in turn fosters drug seeking behaviors. It is cruel and unusual and violates the doctor's oath, 1. must do in the best interest of the patient/ we shall do no harm. Free enterprise must then be allowed. These poor citizens are victims of the system. There must be reasonable ratios of health care professionals in areas where wait time are greater than say 3 months. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is namely the area of major concern. This province's expected growth is 30% with in the next 15 years-(study from 2006-2026.)
