Lack of mental health facilities in schools and hospitals

This petition had 73 supporters

Mental health has been ignored in our country for a long time and even after a number of policies have been introduced in India not many are related to mental health. There are many children who commit suicide due to exam stress, peer pressure and family problems as they are not comfortable discussing their problems with family or friends. They fear that talking about such issues might lead to other problems for them and they also believe that their parents and teachers would never understand their problems, so the only way out is to end their life.
The adults are also facing similar issues and problems which causes stress, depression, or anxiety. There are hospitals in small towns but psychologists can be seen working only in government hospitals. Not many private hospitals hire psychologists which leads to more problems and may drive patients towards suicide.A doctor can only prescribe a medicine which works for a short period of time and is not useful in the long run.
I would request all of you reading this article to sign the petition for our future generation so that no one in our country has to suffer and go through problems like depression, anxiety due to lack of proper amenities and care.
