State level counselling has been proposed for admissions in dm/mch courses via neet ss 2017. However maximum states and colleges allow no regional or state quotas and seats remain open to all India candidates based on their performance in entrance exams. However if post neet ss counselling is conducted by state authorities it will cause a lot of confusion and problems for aspirants as they will have to apply for almost each states individually which is hectic and can cause loss of merit and great frustrations.

Director general of health services conducts all India based counselling for post graduate admissions after neet pg at all India level for 50% all India quota. Since except for states of Tamil nadu, Andhra Pradesh and a few others all other states have no state quota for dm/mch courses all such seats counselling be conducted at all India level by director general of health is requested.

This will not only allow prevailing merit of the neet ss but also will be financially helpful to aspirants as they have to register in many states. Also mental sufferings and confusions can be reduced and neet ss purpose becomes a great success
