Siddhartha Das started this petition to Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Earth Sciences, government of India Dr Harsh Vardhan and

India is well past COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION (stage III) of epidemic COVID19 and yet the Government of India is denying this.

Declaration of COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION all over India will ensure that Clinical Management Protocol by MoHFW, India is implemented. Right now many healthcare workers are denied necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) gear and even patients are denied immediate medical attention without the COVID19 test report because of mistakes in the guidance issued by MoHFW called "Clinical Management Protocol" (https://www.mohfw.gov.in/pdf/ClinicalManagementProtocolforCOVID19dated27062020.pdf for COVID19.

Declaring community transmission will ensure the following:

- Our healthcare workers (doctors, nurses, frontline staff, etc.) will be equipped with proper PPE gears (safety gowns, N95 masks, gloves, etc). It is imperative to understand that 3-layer surgical masks are not effective for healthcare workers as they come in prolonged contact with patients.

- Non-COVID wards will be equipped as if incoming patients may potentially be infected with COVID19.

- State authorities will be forced to regulate EPIDEMIC protocols when COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION is declared because anyone without symptoms may also be probably a source of infection.

- This will raise high-level awareness among the public too.

So, I request you all to sign this petition to ask the government to take whatever is needed to declare the community transmission to protect our COVID warriors.
