  • There are lakhs of public who don't have  enough money to maintain Minimum balance in their Bank accounts.

Students, non-working Male and Females, Temporary working persons, Villagers, Farmers etc are examples who cannot maintain minimum balance regularly.

Instances have been found where a person deposit money for an important purpose but bank deduct it all and at time of withdrawal person find "no money".

In present senario Bank account is too important and government had introduced Jandhan account but they were not earning a regular income to maintain minimum balance.

Report shows that Banks have collected penalties close to Rs 5,000crore in 2017-18 from depositors for "not maintaining minimum balance" in their accounts.

People open account for depositing money, but there may be resons, they don't. But this doesn't means they are wrong and should be punished as fine imposed on them.

What is the demand ?

  1. #Fine must not be taken for "not maintaining minimum balance"in any banks.
  2. #Bank should Credit the amount deducted(for not maintaining minimum account balance) from Jandhan account.
