Federation of Namibian Tourism Associations, and all the other 10 associations under them, like Hospitality association of Namibia, Tour and Safari Association of Namibia, Car Rental association of Namibia and others, have been misrepresenting the Namibian tourism industry for over 3 decades and using these entities for the benefit of only a few companies.

Despite the issues raised by the 80% of the industry that is not represented by FENATA, even with the publication of the news articles showing racism and discrimination in association like TourGuide Association Of Namibia (https://www.facebook.com/2464241653797479/posts/3138544719700499/ there has been no statement or response from either TAN or FENATA.

We request that the Minister Of Environment Forestry and Tourism of Namibia, Hon.Pohamba Shifeta, address this issue on urgent basis because of the vast amount of jobs lost in the industry due to COVID-19 pandemic, and the actions of FENATA further benefiting only a few companies in the industry. We request that MEFT cancel the mandate of FENATA and it's Associations and form a new all-inclusive vehicle to address the concerns of a wider group of Namibians and local companies.
