The Social Digital started this petition to Ministry Of Electronics & Information Technology and

"Dalit woman gang-raped before husband in Alwar. The accused threatened the couple of making the video viral on the internet if the couple informed about the gang rape to anyone."

- India Today (May 7, 2019)

This must be a heart-wrenching incidence for all of us because if it is not I don't know why we call ourselves society. There are lots of things involved in this. The false caste ego of alleged rapists (local Gujjars), local election pressure to suppress the issue and threat on the basis of making the video viral in case if victim couple attempted to report the incidence. This is not the first case when some crime has been done behind the guns of video footage and making it viral. Thousands of incidence go unreported where a boy lures a girl into making a video of her private moments and later blackmails her with the same. It instantly reaches to masses and the victim becomes a subject of humiliation.

Needless to say, it can happen to anyone and just by watching a few seconds of footage we can destroy someone's entire life totally unknown to us. Most of you might be aware and take precautions such as not promoting when you get such contents but that alone doesn't solve the problem. It needs a stable solution and reinforcement. We can't suddenly change the rape mindsets but we can for sure cut the ways off that directly give them a base to threaten the victims.

It is my request to social network, government and phone manufacturing companies to strictly regulate the nudity content across cultures. Nudity capture should be licensed and it should not be possible for everyone to share nude captures as raw footage. Social media companies should improve their technologies regarding people uploading the content. It is not a request to ban on nudity but to strictly regulate it when it comes to raw footage and destroying someone's privacy.

Kindly sign this petition if you want this change.
