I want to recommend that you do not believe in fake WhatsApp Forwards messages and definitely refrain from forwarding them to anyone as it is just going to further spread the misinformation which can even lead to violence.

Fake videos that claimed that Muslims were being injected with coronavirus had been circulating through WhatsApp all over the country.

A resident of Tatapatti Bakhal said residents were suspicious of health workers after Fake WhatsApp videos claiming that healthy Muslims are being taken away and injected with the virus have been doing the rounds.

On April 1,Indore health workers were attacked when they went to do medical check-up and take samples of the residents.

Again In Bihar, police and medical personnel were attacked by locals in Munger town when they visited a locality to collect samples from people suspected to have contracted coronavirus. Stones were thrown at the quick response team (QRT), comprising policemen and an ambulance carrying medical personnel when they visited the Hazratganj locality.

In Bangalore, a group of ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers were allegedly assaulted at Sadiq layout near Hegdenagar on Wednesday by some youth belonging to the minority community when they had gone to collect information and create awareness about coronavirus.

In West Bengal, there were clashes between police and locals at a few locations when the latter prevented health workers from collecting Covid-19 data.

This spread of false information via whatsapp lead to violence towards health workers in the country. They are already overworked and stressed, working non-stop to save us from COVID-19.

We need to stop this before it's too late.
