Aadhaar, Despite Tech-hype Governmental Online Activities are in a mess

1) Remove the Deadline for Linking various Identity instruments like Aadhar, Pan Card, Voter ID, Ration Card etc until the registering/updating system is made bare-minimum error-proof.
2) Citizens are NOT tied up with their Birthplace, they live away from home. For each and every petty needs they should NOT be forced to traverse to their Registered address. Hence the significance of online services and proper maintenance of the same
Despite the breakthrough advancements in Technology, In India, Governmental Technology ventures INVARIABLY remain incomplete, inefficient and/or faulty. I have looked into the reasons for this, but feel it is not within my rights to troubleshoot the institutional machinery, and hence would stick to explaining the problems faced by the laity and praying before the concerned authorities to take steps to rectify the entire system within a reasonable time span.
Citizens' name Format: Awareness among authorities about the different Customs, traditions prevailing in different parts of the country is essential while forming policies. In certain parts of the country First name - Last Name method is followed (Eg: Preety Chauhan), in certain other parts Single Name method is followed. (Eg Damodaran). in yet other parts Name-Initial method is followed People born half a century ago CANNOT change the format of their name that is used in their school certificate, birth certificate etc Governmental/Semi Governmental Systems should accept Citizens' name in whatever existing formats.
Examining Probable Scenarios with deeper insight: In order to make the point clear let me describe a Probable scenario
a) Citizen want to update his Address Details in the Aadhar Card
b) He submits the details in the Aadhar-update-site
c) The System insists on Re-submitting the Identity Proof, in this case, the Pan Card.
But the Pan Card address details are NOT updated yet
d) The Citizen tries to update PAN Card address Details
e) The Pan Card system insists on Updated Aadhar
It would be a an infinite go-around
Multiple Cluttered Websites: Websites should be designed in a way people can easily find the required information and perform the activities they have access to. Taking Aadhar as an example there are multiple sites all cluttered with useless data in grossly inefficient designing and segregation. Only by chance we can reach a required link. Finding it a second time very difficult. Form submissions are inconsistent. Buttons will NOT work 2 or 3 times, on fourth attempt it might work. Still It may or may not take us to the proper destination
Cannot find Items in the options and drop down lists
1) Most of the times, we cannot find the required item in the options list or drop down
2) Some times the item would be there in a camouflaged way, For example.. Any approved document..xxxxxxxx
Any approved document is NOT an options list item. The user Cannot LEAVE the current page and go hunting information as to which ones are the Approved document
SUMMARY In short instead of easing the living standards of the citizens the so-called digital revolution is making their life miserable.
Announcing that linking of various identity instruments are prerequisites for accessing basic amenities and setting deadlines for that without ensuring proper system requirements and error-proof functioning of Identity-record-update digital network, is clear Human Rights Violation
Hence I Pray before..
The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology & Minister Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad to
Initiate steps to error proofing the Identity-record-update digital network, and make policy modifications wherever necessary
Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi to
Please Lift the deadline for linking various identity-instruments, and ensure the digital network is efficient, user-friendly and error-proof before re-instating it.
National Human Rights Commission, as

Please look into the issue
