Why this petition matters

Started by SEA 2021

Due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago and the inability of teachers to effectively complete the syllabus with students due to a lack of proper facilities including proper internet connections, laptops, and supervision, we are petitioning that the traditional SEA exam be canceled this year. Parents are pleading that students' grades throughout their primary school years, combined with teachers' predictions of their potential grades and the usual zoning process be used to place students in secondary schools.

Parents agree that the creation of a computer application to assist in making the placement of students a fair, quick, and safe process that will save their children from the risk of contracting the Covid-19 disease.
