Lately, I have been harassed on social media, with that said, the school board cannot do a lot as this is a problem that occurred online. However, harassment is harassment no matter the place or time. Students such as myself, have little to no power in this. This person commented about my body and saved various pictures and videos of me. They also threatened to keep me quiet and isolated myself from other classmates. The harrasser will only receive counselling as punishment. I find this unacceptable compared to the embarrassment, humiliation and fear that I’ve faced.

I would like school to take more disciplinary action towards things like this because it can lead to a big and serious problem. I appoint the Minister Of Education Malaysia to make this happen. People can get traumatised and afraid if people like these continue to repeat their mistake with no consequences. This is a problem that happens in all schools, not only me, classmates, schoolmates, friends. We, students need our voices to be heard. This is a serious problem and I hope, with the help and leverage of social media, we will no longer be silenced, we can change for us, and the future generations to come.
