ONLINE PETITION PREPARED BY UNNATHA VIDYABHYASA ADHYAPAKA SANGHAM (UVAS STATE COMMITTEE)
- G.O. regarding the reopening of colleges in Kerala w.e.f. 04.01.2021 is against all existing UGC rules and regulations. Timing from 0830 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. is impracticable and totally out of sync with the current academic practices in the country. Imposing Saturday offline classes is against UGC directive. We suggest to convert it to compulsory online classes.
- With 700-1000 (UG final + both PGs) students on campus from Monday to Saturday, Covid protocol can hardly be maintained. If the Central Govt guidelines cannot be observed, phenomenal increase in Covid-19 cases can't be ruled out.
- On Campus simultaneous offline and online classes demand sufficient infrastructural facilities and internet facilities. Depts with more than 3 or 4 teachers will have to search for a tree shade or a silent corner of the campus for engaging online classes. This will definitely affect the effective teaching-learning process
- Insufficient transportation facilities for students and teachers is a cause of worry. Crammed public vehicles may accelerate the spread of the pandemic in the state.
- Plz sign the petition to alert the Kerala Govt about the repeated. anti-academic measures being adopted.
