I encourage and ask every to email the Ministry of Children Services to demand change to our very flawed, corrupt system that is so blinded by reunification that they are willing to put a child at risk, and in this case sweet, innocent Gabriel lost his life. Our system needs to stop protecting “parents” over these innocent children who would not pick the life they have been dealt.  

Gabriels death IS ON CHILDREN SERVICES AND THE CASEWORKERS and SUPERVISORS who let Gabriel slip through the cracks.  This sweet innocent boy was taken from this world at the hands of Children Services. There NEEDS to be changes made to our legislation so another child and there family doesn’t have to go through this horrible situation that is now this families reality. 

WE DEMAND CHANGE

This poor innocent boy lost his life because of the choices Children Service made. He was put back in an unsafe home with his biological parents and was killed. 

Questions we have are: What is The Ministry of Children Services going to do to make sure this never happens to another innocent child and their family.  Who can we as a community contact to make sure our system changes? The Ministry of Children Services needs to be held accountable.

Please let this horrific event create a spark to make the changes that need to happen.

Here is a letter from Gabriel's Dad Gerry and Mom Alice. They brought Gabriel home from the hospital  and raised him until he was taken from their home by Children Services at 17 months old  to be sent back with his biological parents.

In regards to Gabriel's death, we as a family and a community will be pursuing justice. Not only for Gabriel, but for all children, who have died as a result of the ineptitude of Child Services. We are not making this an Indigenous incident, but will speak for all children.That being said, your office was the mastermind of this atrocity. We are going viral (T.V, News,Talk radio). Emails have been sent to Federal and Provincial Minsters.
If you and your staff think you can sweep another child's death under the rug, you are sadly misinformed. Gabriel's death is on your offices coattails, and Gabriel's death is not going to be in vain.
So, while you and your staff are patting each other on the back, telling each other, what a great job you're doing, we are amassing an army, that will speak for Gabriel.
