To Whom This May Concern:

Please help us by signing this petition to stop unhealthy and unethical business practices currently in full swing within Namibia by Pet Shops selling Aquatic Organisms. Your petition will be forwarded to the necessary authorities that has the legal right as well jurisdiction to tackle these inhumane issues that we are facing.

The husbandry and business methods used in the practice of selling Live Aquatic Organisms within Namibia is shocking not to say the least. Holding enclosures, aquaria ,display systems are highly neglected and Aquatic Organisms unfortunately perishes due to this fact. Even not the required basic aquaculture protocol regarding quarantine is being conducted upon importation of live Aquatic Organisms..There are no records on hand as required by Government legislation upon inspection with regards to section 43 of the regulations in the "Aquaculture ACT 18 of 2002". The "Aquaculture ACT 18 of 2002 "as set out by the Ministry of Aquaculture and Fisheries of the Government of Namibia, provides legislation as well jurisdiction regarding the above mentioned facts just to name a few.

Your petition will be addressed to the above mentioned applicable parties to come together to make a difference in the way business is conducted. Transparency is key and paramount from the client even to the producer or importer of Aquatic Organisms within the borders of Namibia.

Assist us in the quest to make Pet Shops in Namibia alive again.
