My family owns a summer cottage in Lardeau. Increasing ferry sailing times from Kootenay Bay To Balfour and back would allow us to visit our second home more often and for longer periods as we would not be racing after work in calgary to get the final ferry sailing. More time in BC equals more money spent in your province.

WE LIKE TO VISIT IN THE EAST kOOTENAY WHERE WE HAVE FAMILY, AND LIKE TO BE ABLE TO COME BACK THE SAME EVENING AFTER DINNER.

This is the alternate highway to the Kootenay Pass Hwy #3, and is the lifeline to the EastShore communities. Please reconsider this miserly cut.

I have needed the ferry at a later hour and had to rush back to catch the last ferry to come home to Creston

an hourly schedule on the hour seems to make good sense with 1 or 2 later sailings so it isn`t a rush to get home from Nelson

My family experienced the birth of 4 children, 3 grand children and several serious accidents requiring the ferry, I know how essential access to the Nelson Hospital and the doctors is, and now in my senior years, 42 years later I found I had to leave my home and my friends on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake to live closer to all the services old age requires .
Without good ferry service more will have to face the same decision. I would gladly return to the East Shore.

I grew up in the Kootenays and the ferries have always been an essential, not to mention crucial part of life. The more frequent it is offered the better for all the residents.
