Small business across Canada have been subject to unfair and discriminating health measures and restrictions that have placed these businesses at risk of closure. Many businesses already have experienced closures due to these unfair restrictions.
Small businesses have the rights to the same competitive advantage as larger corporations have been given for approximately 12 months. These restrictions are placed with little data that is consistent with the health threat.
Many small businesses have proven that they can provide a safer environment for customers and employees than many of the larger corporations that have been given leniency under the essential services classification. Many of these businesses have invested financially to meet the requested ambiguous compliance that the government promotes and refers to when making restriction decisions. It is time to hold government accountable and protect small business.
Sign our petition. Give small business the protection and force government to make decisions that are on the basis of health risk for the business activity and not random essential and non essential classifications.
