Elizabeth Cooper started this petition to Minister of Justice and Premier and

A  well known and well loved 93 year old  man  is being held captive as a prisoner by a Committee of business associates of his son and the Province of New  Brunswick.  All of this elderly man's directives have been denied and his Human Rights violated.  He is suffering severe physical, mental and emotional abuse.  His daughter, whom he chose as his power of attorney has been exploited, maligned and defamed and had all of her rights taken away.

This outgoing man has been forced to become immobile, for two years denied the opportunity to leave his premises, had his visitors restricted including  his daughter.  His health care has been removed despite his express wish for heroic measures - all resources of the health care system.

Recently his daughter had to save his life three times within a two week period when he was left to die of a basic bladder infection caused by forcing him to sit in his own feces in a diaper and ignoring numerous warnings by his daughter of symptoms that he had a bladder infection.

The following must be done: Remove the Committee completely, respect the power of attorney he gave his daughter, restore his freedom and full access to health care and restore everything taken from him in the last two years.

Please sign the petition to have the  government of New Brunswick act swiftly to protect this man and repeal the legislation that permits this abuse to continue  so this kind gentleman can get back his life back before it is too late.
