Petition update

Provincial Governments to be advised

Nov 14, 2015 — Hello friends,

Our initial goal was to collect 15,000 supporters before the letter was sent to the newly elected Minister of health and a copy to the Prime Minister. That letter had been sent.

A follow up letter is being prepared with attachments including list of supporters and a consolidated file of the comments many of them wrote.

Meanwhile, we are now thinking of sending copies to corresponding ministries (agriculture & health) of the provincial Government of BC, where I live. The purpose of that letter would be on one side to keep them appraised that glyphosate may have been approved in Canada without checking safety test data, and same time to encourage them to start testing our food for the same. Labs are coming out with this service in Canada which were not available last year. We the citizens are getting ready to start our own testing with locally available food and people’s urine, for finding out how much of this biocide we are exposed to.

It may be a good idea for folks to also consider writing or petitioning their own provincial ministries to be aware of this situation, (that glyphosate may have been approved without seeing any safety test record), and to encourage them to start testing local food for glyphosate, and make the result available to the people.

Then there is also the ongoing citizen drive of testing our urine to find out how many of us, and to what extent, we may have gotten this poison in us already. Here too, the local Government and our healthcare system can consider getting engaged.

Lots of exciting things on our plate, all for protecting ourselves from potential toxicity in our food system which the industry does not want us to know about.

Cheers

Tony
