We would like to see the banning of scallop dredging, the reason being that dredging causes major damage to the scallop beds and other aquatic species  habitats, it smashes juvenile scallops and is indiscriminate of what it catches and the the size of the catch.

In banning dredging it will improve the health of the scallop beds and an improved survival of the juveniles making a more sustainable fishery for future generations to enjoy.
