Load-shedding is the only time, South Africans actually know its electricity provider...Eskom. The problem is while Eskom is feasting on this country financially and overpricing South Africa on electricity. 20% of this country does not have access to electricity whereas countries such as Belgium have 100% access. This is a major reason for poverty in South Africa and why we must address this as soon as possible.

The most practical of the many solutions to this crisis is for us to have multiple electricity providers in this country. Although Eskom is the monopoly they constantly beg South Africans to use less electricity despite unlimited help from the government this is proof that we need competition.

We need to gather up the people to unite and demand that we are tired of load-shedding the time for complaining is over. We have complained long enough. Let's sign this petition and make a difference!
