Request for Oxley High Voltage Power Lines to be relocated

PROBLEM:
In 1980 the government had decided to build High Voltage Power Lines from Rocklea to Darra via Oxley. There are many houses from where the Power Lines are running really close which:
1. Generates Electro Magnetic Field which might impact the people living near the power lines
2. Aesthetically impacts the suburbs beauty
3. Financially impacts the people living near those power lines
WHAT THE GOVT CAN DO:
The Government can either move the powerlines underground or move them away from the highly populated residential areas.
Many senior members of Powerlink and the State Government have been approached for whom the general response has been, “it is not feasible”. While other states, territories are trying to ramp up moving these high voltage powerlines away from suburbs or underground, Queensland has been really lagging behind.
WHAT WE CAN DO:
We can get together and atleast let the government know that we are not happy with it and they need to put a plan to address this issue.
HOW IT WILL IMPACT US:
1. Better looking Oxley
2. Less Electro Magnetic Forces around the houses
3. Better Growth of properties around the Power Lines
4. Overall growth of the suburb
