Equal job opportunities for immigrants
This petition had 37 supporters
There aren't many opportunities for immigrants because employers have a tendency to prioritize Canadian experience over foreign experience. This is a problem because the government wants more immigration to drive economic growth however some who are already here say they're struggling to find jobs, despite being highly-educated and qualified. These people then rely on 'Survival Jobs' which is typically a low paying job that covers basic living expenses. Some even part with their family and work outside the country to get money. Thousands are victims to this problem. We should create a legislation to have a percentage of immigrants working in establishments. The immigrants should be first generation. It would be smart to make Use of Credential Equivalency Tools.
