As students, we have to go to school starting at the age of 3 or 4. For 5 out of 7 days a week we are at a dreadful place for about 6 hours. Not only that, but last year the sickness known as Covid-19 has forced children all over the world to participate in online school. Now you may think online school will be easy since you just wake up and log on, but it is way more than that. You are practically forced to sit in front of a screen which is actually damaging your eyes and brain for 6 hours a day. Not to mention that majority of teachers demand kids to turn on their cameras. It would make more sense if students only had to log onto a google meet for half of the day, then for the reminder half they can get off and finish uncompleted work on their own time. This would give everyone a break from staring at a screen all day, perhaps they could actually get some exercise or do something other than sit in a dark room looking at a computer all day. In fact, according to research children should only have access to an hour or two of technology a day. School is slowly killing our brains. By only being on a google meet for half the day, this gives us plenty of time with the other half to actually do things for ourselves. For example, go outside and get some fresh air, or maybe even have a normal conversation with someone rather than through technology.
