If it is necessary to wait for a large number of people to die before the necessary emergency measures appear, this will reflect the true face of Singapore. Both voters and the government have unshirkable historical responsibilities. The great tragedy in Europe may be repeated in Southeast Asian countries. The great tragedy in American society also shows that they know nothing about the evil of the CCP.

This is a shameful century that puts monetary benefits above human rights, freedom, and life safety. Therefore, it sold its soul and its social culture to the Satanist regime, bringing a lot of death and social ruin. Until now, only a handful of people have signed the petition, and only a few people are making efforts to cry out, which is almost crying for the devil's regime to ask for mercy, asking the insensitive devil clique not to murder them and their children. This is a very shameful social tragedy that is being staged, but it is indeed a scene of civilization collapse.

When the raging of the virus has been out of control, and when the virus is spreading in every corner, the country must enter a state of emergency, but in this state it is too late to take the highest level of defense, what is the role?

It was recently reported that a student in Maris Stella High infected with Covid 19. He has NOT recently travelled. Luckily he has not been in school since school reopened, participated in any school activities and interacted with his schoolmates. But what if he did?

One infected child can infect hundreds of students and teachers in any one school who will then bring the virus back to their families. As long as school remains open kids and teachers will continue to be at risk of exposure to the virus.  As you know, it is almost impossible for children to adopt social distancing. They will want to interact and play with their friends when they are in school.

A day of home-based learning every week will be implemented in April, this adds confusion to parents and students about school closure plus this just adds more work for teachers who are already busy then normal with additional work such as sanatizing classrooms, contacting and updating lessons for those students on LOA, daily temperature taking and recording of students temperature etc. Now they have to do lessons via e- learning for that 1 day of the week.

Who are looking out for our teachers?

We are already naturally at this time on edge, anxious and worried when someone coughs or sneezes imagine our teachers who are in the front lines attending to hundreds of students without any masks shielding them from the virus. If its adament that schools are not to be closed, please allow teachers to have a choice of using a mask to shield and protect themselves. I was appalled to know that teachers are not allowed to use a mask. Using a mask does not only act as a protection gear but it also help remind individuals to not touch their faces. Also it helps to lessen worries, fear and anxiety to teachers especially those who  are pregnant, dealing with conditions that compromise their respiratory or immune systems undergoing treatment for chemo or have family members who are ageing or sick. Having to go to work worried and be in fear everyday is not the way to live especially at this particular time.

Where is the Singapore Teachers Union in all of this?

On one hand we are getting the message of social distancing, restriction of movements etc and on the other hand school remains defiantly open in an attempt at normalcy when everything outside is not.

Also there have been conflicting news that the virus don't affect the youth easily. On the contrary many children and younger adults in Singapore and around the world have been infected.

The reason that was given that nobody will take care of students if school closes is putting the majority of our children and teachers at an unnecessary risk. It is safer for them to remain at home even with the possibility of a small percentage of those unwilling or unable to. Teachers are not babysitters nor are they here to sacrifice their health or to prop up the economy.

It was also mentioned that if schools were to close students would end up going to entertainment venues, such as arcade, cinemas or indoor sporting places etc but at this time since all these places are now told to be close wouldn't this be the best time for school closure. School closure are not going to be close indefinately it can be timed as per the same timing as per the closure of all the above mentioned venues so that we can concentrate on all these export infection cases we are getting as well as all the local clusters that we have now. By school closing it might help to halt or lower the number of increased infection cases that we are experiencing.

Singapore is a small country we cannot afford in getting the numbers of infections like other countries. We must not be complecent, ignorant or selfish. We must all work together to flatten the curve quickly and efficiently

This is getting serious day by day and it has affected young school children. Some measurements must be done. Don't be stubborn and just initiate the lockdown as it is the right thing to prevent the virus feom spreading furthermore.

Children‘s safety and health is priority over education. We cannot trade health for anything. Especially with recent surge cases that also involving PCF Sparkletots preschoolers and Teachers.
