Keep 'Zwarte Piet' as 'Zwarte Piet' used to be (since 1976), and never mind the Bollocks..

5% of the population of the Lowlands (Benelux) is misguided by 'misperception' and by hideous propaganda.

In which typical Anglo-Saxon issues as segregation, apartheid, racism, slavery, 'blackface' et cetera, are pulled out of context, and unjustly transplanted into the innocence of a carnivalesque nationwide traditional children's party.

The proposed solution would be to change a long-lasting tradition, by painting the face of 'Zwarte Piet' (black Pete) blue, purple, or whatever rainbow color, except for black, brown or maroon.

Which is just ridiculous. 'Zwarte Piet', a Morisco, has nothing to do with the presumed issues. Aberrant decoding and false perception shouldn't be invoked to change, what is not needed to be changed.

95% of the population of the lowlands is aware of this (using common sense), and wants to protect the tradition and heritage of this innocent nationwide children's party, to protect it from bigotry and polarization.

Hence this call, to keep 'Zwarte Piet' as 'Zwarte Piet' as he has been without any problems during the last 40 to 50 years..

So sign the petition, and join the 'common sense' of 95% of the population in the Lowlands, in contrast to the false perception of a 5% sectarian and quite possibly destructive cabal..
