The guiding rules as now stated in the NL inland fishing guide discriminates against Native Born Newfoundlander and Labradorian s. For instance, a member of the RCMP or a member of the military can fish where they like without the use of a guide but, a Native Born NL can only fish in a pond 800 M from numbered highways and not at all on a licensed river, even if it only 10 feet from a numbered road. This needs to be changed so that, Those who have a birth certificate from NL should have the same rights as a member of the RCMP or The Canadian Armed Forces.
