I believe in equal rights for all citizens, that includes equal services for those with disabilities as those without. Society is becoming more and more divided between the haves and the have mots, and ignoring inequality is becoming the norm right across society, it doesnt reflect the welcoming sharing nature Irish people are recognised for across the world, and it certainly doesn't reflect the proclamation this nation seemed to celebrate with such pride just 3 years ago. One small step in the direction of equal services will soon bring another!

Every single person in Ireland should be able to access public transport, public schools and public healthcare!

This needs to be done on every route, and one brave young lady is fighting for equal rights for people with wheelchairs, so they can travel where they want, avail of services, education and leisure.... Just like everyone else can

Feeling supported between online and paper petition over 9800 signatures. Route 480 will be accessible from August with low suspension wheelchair roll on/ roll off, and visual and audio systems. In total 40 of these buses will be allocated to routes nationwide. This is fantastic but these new buses are not enough to cover all routes nationwide. My petition is for all routes, I am asking for your help in sending a strong message when I go to the Dail, so that in the next allocation of funding there will be more accessible public buses. So please keep sharing this petition and signing it if you haven't done already. Today is European Independent Day and having accessible transport means Independent Travel. I am grateful that this campaign has received support from Senators, TD's, MEPs, local candidates across the Country and from nearly every disability organization in the Country. Equality in being able to access and use public buses is a basic human right. I am asking all candidates in the upcoming elections nationwide to support this campaign, to recognise that the families of children with disabilities and people with disabilities matter, that of all these children and people need to be included in our society, that it is the barriers of our environment, the attitudes , the lack of school places, the lack of accessible transport that are responsible for children and people with disabilities not being included. Remove the barriers by working together, this should be a non political, non organization campaign on Equality and needs to be supported by everyone. Please raise your voices with mine, for accessible public buses on all routes nationwide. Thank you
