NSW Nurses and Midwives are essential workers ,who often work on call, rotating rosters and long unreasonable hours ,which are not always complimented by public transport timetables. Many Nurses and Midwives rely heavily on driving a car to and from work. Nurses and Midwives depend on the availability safe , secure hospital parking facilities as a necessity for their workplace health and safety. The lack of current parking spaces available to Nurses and Midwives often results in parking off hospital site ,walking long distances alone ,missing trains or unable to catch public transport and stranded at deserted train stations, which increases their risk as victims to crime ,violence and assaults. Nurses and Midwives need to feel safe. We need your help to care for Nurses and Midwives by ensuring the Liberal-National government cares about our  safety .Please support this petition for mandatory onsite safe and secure parking spaces for all employed public hospital nurses and midwives.
