Urgent need to make funding available to special schools in Cork

Children with intellectual disabilities & children with autism & complex needs in Cork are increasingly being denied suitable school placement. The lack of schools & lack of funding to schools who can expand being the main reasons.
The waiting lists in the schools in Cork are growing daily & families are being put under increasing pressure to find a suitable place for their child.
Every child has a right to a proper education & as it stands the majority of children with intellectual disabilities & children with autism & complex needs in Cork are not being given this right!
As a parent of a child with autism & an intellectual disability I ask the minister Richard Bruton to make funds available immediately to enable these schools to open more places for these children who so badly need a specialised education.
