Stop the continuing downgrading in Free To Air Television Programs

We the undersigned request that the Minister for Communication steps in and take the necessary action to ensure that the current situation of the constant low grade quality of programming presented to the Australian public is reversed.
This petition is a direct result of the continuing downgrade of the quality of the programs that are being presented by the current "Free To Air" Television Channels in Australia
We also request:
That the current system where Television Broadcasters have the primary responsibility for ensuring that the material they broadcast is changed as there are so many programs that are appearing which do not reflect the greater community standard and it is obvious that the current Code of Practice and Self Regulation is not working.
To limit Television Broadcasters from repeating the programs within a 24/48 hour period or have the same program running on two or even three of their stations at the same time.
If they do not have the content to fill the programs slots then they should not have the licence otherwise they are really an advertising bill board, Not a Television Entertainment Station.
Review the current standard for issuing broadcasting licences to ensure that the Television does have the capability of correctly meeting the community expectations.
