Petition update

New PIRSA Minister

Rosie Leaney
Adelaide, Australia

Aug 3, 2020 —

Dear cuttlefish supporters,

Due to Minister Tim Whetstone's resignation, the petition is now addressed to the new Minister for Primary Industries, David Basham.

As I mentioned in my previous update, this online petition has had tremendous support and media coverage, and is a fantastic tool to raise awareness of the Cuttlefish plight.  It will show Minister Basham the immense community support for protecting these unique cuttlefish!

HOWEVER....to be tabled in parliament, a formal paper petition needs to be physically signed.  Please contact Whyalla MP Eddie Hughes office on (08) 8645 7800, to be sent a copy.  Alternatively, most dive shops in South Australia have a copy available to sign.

I urge you to support both of these petitions, and continue to share both with your network.  Every single signature counts!

Many thanks

Rosie
