Allow Sumaya Bhuiyan to stay in Australia

Sumaya Bhuiyan is 16 years old and lives with her mother and brother in Blacktown, where she goes to school. They've been here for eight years. Sumaya is on the autism spectrum disorder. Her mother is a medical doctor working in two practices in western Sydney and has been given until last Friday (24th) to buy two tickets to deport her daughter to Hungary where Sumaya's father still lives. The Minister for immigration Alex Hawke will not intervene to allow Sumaya to remain here, believing it is not in the public interest. While it may not economically be in the public interest, socially and emotionally it is in the public interest to show this family, who would likely already have difficult lives as migrants resettling and also dealing with autism, some compassion. This is discriminatory action and should not be supported.
