In late November the economy was in shambles. After dupes and countless bugs that the admins never fix, it was looking like the end for skyblock and it's forums. But a last hope for many players was the recent leak that in the next election there was going to be a special mayor. This was sure to add content or make the game more enjoyable right? WRONG! Instead, Derpy showed up. This made many players quit during his term or leave entirely. After looking at the forums, I found no one voting for this mayor because he was good, but people voted for him rather to be funny or encourage a meme. After his term, I was mad. However, I hold on to our last chance. The final special mayor has to bring something right?

Sadly, that may not be the case. A few hours ago Minikloon, the creator of the mayor election, leaked a picture of the third special mayor, which is Jerry. I was annoyed at this.It was fine to have one special mayor to just be a funny joke, but two is not acceptable. If it is anything like Derpy, it will just make players leave instead of adding new interesting content to the game. Mayors like Scorious are really good. They add content while taking money out of the economy, and it also give new players a reason to participating in voting! 

And adding the "special mayor" tag doesn't help. Instead of making the election a fair democratical event, it is basically telling people that if we don't vote for this person now, he won't appear again for weeks! This is a good system, but this makes newer and even experienced players feel that they have to vote for this mayor or they will miss out on the chance to have him as mayor. This makes the other mayors who might be better not have any chance to win. In some cases, like Scorpious, this works. It wins nearly no matter what and adds content so that voting for him auctually does something good for the game! However, this means that mayors like Derpy and Jerry will forever plauge this game, since every 8 elections, there is a chance for them to pop up and ruin the game for 5 days!

But with your help, we can make a change. We can tell the admins to change the mayors to something that will auctually be special, and something that will add content and new things for the community to have fun with! So, please sign the petition!
