To be clear, we are not opposed to saving and renovating the upper floors of the current Borough Hall.  What we are opposed to is the current construct of the proposed plan to do so.  By signing this petition, we are saying any one if these three things:  I am in favor of relocation, I am in favor of demo/rebuild of a more practical space, or I simply need more concrete information on costs and funding before supporting any renovation plan.  Our issue is that of basic fiscal responsibility and transparency.  No project should be given a green light when only half of a job is done, with no idea what the remaining work will cost, much less how our town will pay for it
