TO MAYOR AND MAYORAL TEAM

MINDALORE COMMUNITY WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT TO THE 2022/2023 IDP AND BUDGET PROCESS THE FOLLOWING COMMUNITY NEEDS; 

URGENT PRIORITY

• Resurfacing and tarring of Impala road and Van Lil street situated in Mindalore.
• Renove Rubble and waste dumped on municipal land situated along Chamdor road. Put measures in place to prevent and curb illegal dumping.
• Istall floodlights at Hugenote Mindalore public park.
• Periodic maintenance of public open spaces
• Develop new road to access the new cemetery(Westhaven Cemetery) from Chamdor road.
• Install traffic lights and camera at the T-Junction, Thornton and Chamdor road.
• Install traffic calming measures(speed humps) at selected streets of Mindalore(petition was previously lodged in 2019)
• Implement long term solution to sewer manholes that overflow from time to time. One of which is situated on Shingwedzi street Mindalore and is a health hazard.

5 Year Programme

• Develop a community multipurpose centre to include Library, community hall, sports facilities, and indoor sports facilities etc.

Hugenote Park and Mindalore vleis(green spaces)

• Rehabilitate the park and dam.
• Build recreational trails and wooden bridges to promote outdoor community activities.
• Fence the park
• The Municipality to appreciate the recent Mindalore population growth due to newly developed Mindalore Ext 7 which has a positive outcome for the municipality i.e. revenue generation.
